Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective August 16, 2026. ThoughtGap is designed to work without collecting your personal data.
Data collection
ThoughtGap does not collect, transmit or sell personal information. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
Session data
Your observation sessions—including their date, duration and recorded tap times—are stored locally on your iPhone. This information is not sent to the developer or any third party.
Data retention and deletion
Session data remains on your device until you delete individual sessions or remove the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored history. Because the developer never receives this data, there is no server-side copy to request or delete.
Third-party services
The ThoughtGap app does not use third-party services that collect app or usage data. This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting and does not include analytics, advertising or cookies set by ThoughtGap.
Health information
ThoughtGap is a self-observation tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and does not claim to objectively measure meditation skill or mental state.
Children’s privacy
ThoughtGap does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before those changes take effect.
